Trip tips
There are several important tourist sites within driving distance of Záton. Especially Český Krumlov, which is on the Unesco list, Rožmberk nad Vltavou, Vyšší Brod and the Lipno reservoir with the surrounding towns - Lipno nad Vltavou, Frymburk, Černá v Pošumaví, Horní Plana, etc.
Český Krumlov
Český Krumlov is a southern pearl. The deposits of time have rounded it into the most voluptuous curves. Since 1992 it has been a Unesco World Heritage Site. Take a walk through this magnificent town and it will remain in your heart forever.
We recommend the castle complex and the climb up the castle tower, the Seidel Photo Studio Museum, the Egon Schiele Art Center, the monastery complex, etc. as the most precious places.
Rožmberk
The castle above the Vltava River is known as the cradle of the Rosenbergs. Visiting it will turn into a real experience.
Vyšší Brod
A Cistercian monastery with a Gothic church with unique Baroque features, a picture gallery, a gallery about Cistercian life and a Baroque monastery library.
Lipno
The Lipno Dam, the largest dam in the Czech Republic, offers many tourist activities such as the Treetop Trail, bobsleigh track, rope park, boat trips, bike path around the dam and others.
